Yesterday you removed a seborrheoic keratosis from my lower eye lid. Thank you. I am amazed at how well the procedure has healed – no pain, no bruising, just slight swelling. The subtlety of a natural look was important to me and around the eyes where crows feet were developing became an area which knocked my confidence as a woman. I knew Bridget’s professional knowledge as an eye surgeon gave me the trust to consider a little Botox to defy ageing for a bit longer. Mrs Hemmant has been treating me with Botox for many years now. Her expertise and knowledge are second to none, she is the first person that has used the Botox in varying strengths depending on which area of the face she’s injecting. Using a stronger formula on the stronger muscles between my eye brows. She’s always happy to see you again a week or two later in case you need a top up or tweak. After being told by the local optician that my cataracts, though bad were not advanced enough for the NHS and with my difficulty with dark colours and glaring car lights I decided to pay for treatment. I am eighty-four. Mrs Hemmant and her team are the personification of calm. The atmosphere in theatre was quiet; everyone knowing what they were doing. It was obvious that Mrs Hemmant’s team like and respect her. During each operation Mrs Hemmant gave me a running commentary and I was able to hold a conversation during the process.
